Does r/NewTubers allow self-promotion?

What r/NewTubers's own rules say

Every line below is the room's own sentence, word for word, including its spelling. We pick the sentences about promotion, links and who may post; we never shorten one.

• When asked for a link to your channel you are not allowed to provide it in the comments, you must DM it.

• The Weekly Feedback Friday and Self-Introduce Saturday Megathreads

• Advertising is not allowed without the prior written authorization of the mod team!

• To receive permission, you must contact the Moderation Team with your product and proposed post text.

• If you would like to share your achievements with the community, please use the most recent Motivational Monday

What it actually removes

r/NewTubers removed at least 27 AI-written comments in 7 days, counted from its own moderator bot's public comments over 7 days, read 10 Oct 2026. Through a public mirror, not the Reddit API.

• at least 27AI-written comments, removed as low-effort or machine-written.
• at least 19Links or promotion, removed for carrying a link or reading as promotion.
• at least 51Other removals, removed for a reason the wording did not name.

The mirror returns at most 100 actions per read and this room filled the page, so every number above is a floor, not a rate.

This counts only what the room announces. A moderator removing something by hand leaves nothing to count, so a low number would prove nothing, which is why we only print this for rooms where it is high.

What to do instead

1. Use the Weekly Feedback Friday and Self-Introduce Saturday Megathreads the room's own rules name, and keep to what that thread is for.
2. Answer questions instead of announcing. When we counted, 26 questions here had no reply at all.
3. Write every reply yourself. This room's bot was counted removing AI-written comments.
4. Leave the link out of your first replies. Links are what this room's bot was counted removing.
5. Build some history in the room first, from an account that has commented before.
6. Read the live rules page before you post. The rules can change after the copy we quote was taken.

How this page was made

The rules come from the arctic-shift public mirror's copy of the room's rules list, sidebar and posting guidelines. We do not use the Reddit API. The posting answer rests on the room's own words when they say anything about promotion, then on removals we counted, then on our inference, and the line under each answer says which. A rule that was rewritten after the mirror's copy was taken will not show here, which is why the capture date is printed above.
