Check whether you can promote in a subreddit
Check the door before you knock. Posting and commenting are different rules.
What you getA read on that room's door: whether posting and commenting are open, gated or closed, hedged where we are inferring rather than quoting a rule.
Getting a post removed hurts more than never posting: mods remember, and so does the algorithm. Name a subreddit and get an honest read on whether promoting your product there tends to survive, with posting and commenting answered separately, because commenting is usually the open door.
Kasspian has counted 54 rooms post by post, and publishes what it found in each. Counted 2026-09-01.
Most founders find out a room's rules by breaking them. The removal costs you the post, sometimes the account's standing in that community, and always the nerve to try again.
This checker answers the two gates separately. Plenty of rooms remove promotional posts but leave commenting on existing threads wide open, and answering someone who already asked is both allowed and better marketing anyway.
It is an informed read, not a rules quote: where our room library has read the room before you get that read and its date; otherwise it infers from what actually survives there. The pinned posts and sidebar always win. The full Kasspian read does this for every room it sends you to, and writes the reply too.

Common questions
Can I promote my product on Reddit?
In some rooms, in some forms. Most subreddits treat promotional POSTS and helpful COMMENTS completely differently: the post gets removed while a genuine answer on an existing thread is welcome. Check the specific room, and when in doubt, comment rather than post.
Will my post get removed?
If the room's rules restrict self-promotion and your post reads as promotion, usually yes, and quickly. This checker gives an honest read on how a given subreddit tends to treat it, hedged where we cannot be sure, so you can pick a different door before spending the post.
Is this checker free?
Yes, free and no signup. It checks one room at a time. A full Kasspian read finds the rooms where your specific buyers already ask, runs this same check on every one, and drafts your first reply.
