Side by side

The actual difference

Octolens

Octolens is brand and market monitoring at volume, built for teams that already know their keywords and want every mention, scored and routed into their stack. It names devtool teams like Vercel, PostHog and Supabase as customers.

Kasspian

Kasspian does not count mentions. It finds the specific threads where someone is asking for what you sell, reads that room's rules, writes the reply and tracks it to revenue. Different job: one hears everything, the other acts on the few that are asking.

Be honest

Use Octolens, not Kasspian, when

  • You monitor a brand across many networks and need volume, history and real-time refresh.
  • You want mentions piped into Slack, Attio, webhooks or your own agents.
  • You are a devtool team; that is who Octolens is proven with.

The other way

Use Kasspian when

  • You want replies to people asking for what you sell, not a stream of mentions.
  • Your budget is closer to $19 than $199 a month.
  • You want to see which replies turned into customers.
